Tomorrow is the Internet Radio Day of Silence. As a result of rate hikes on the royalties that online radio has to pay, soon many of the internet radio stations that you have come to enjoy might have to close their proverbial doors. Many of the largest radio providers, including Yahoo! and Pandora will be participating.
In order to support these content providers, I am joining the following meme, started by my friends over at Grooveshark.
Copy the image above, link it to: http://www.savenetradio.org
Make a blog post about it with the title: “Rally To Save Internet Radio” (or similar)
Digg/Reddit that post, with the same title and then use my handy contact form to let me know about.

Grooveshark is signing a major deal with UK based V2 music group. Take a look!
“The Grooveshark business model is a very exciting and V2 are very pleased to be delivering our content on this platform as early as the beta stages,” said Beth Appleton, head of Business Development at V2. “Peer to peer networks have phenomenal distribution and with that the commercial possibilities for distributing content could be revolutionary, with the right model. We hope that together with licensed content and an accurate pricing model, the super-distribution possibilities of peer to peer via this partnership could be a significant future revenue stream for V2 and our artists.”

Some good news from the Orangeply camp. We have recently been accepted as a part of the GatorNest program for summer A. That means folks, we’re getting some interns. I’d like to thank Ted Astleford for going to bat for us. It’s bound to be an interesting experience for everyone concerned.

Hey folks, I see having GUTs as more of a community than just merely a conference. Thus, we plan to highlight companies in the area that are really showing what Gainesville can do. In this case, Grooveshark has managed to make it into Zeropaid. Take a look at their article there and send them some Digg love.
